A different kind of picture

For those of you who haven't noticed, my blog is called A picture speaks a thousand words, because of my love affair with photos and the stories they tell. But there are other types of 'pictures' around us, such as paintings. 

So, getting to the point, I'm dedicating this post to my mum and her pictures, which hopefully for you will speak a thousand words :)

The thing I love about my mums artworks is that they are so different to anything else I've ever seen. She does these really unique, custom designed artworks of people's personal photos and memories on canvas. 

This is an example of what she does. She made this for my 15th birthday. Isn't is gorgeous!?
