After Rishikesh, we headed south east for the other end of the Ganges - Varanasi. It is a very spiritual and confronting place. We visited the burning ghats where the deceased are burnt in fires, and unfortunatly, also saw a few dead bodies floating down the river. This aside, it was a lovely place. We did boat rides up and down the river at both dawn and dusk, which included placing a flower and candle in the water - something I always wanted to do at Varanasi.

I love that picture of the old man! But bodies floating down the river? I'm not sure I could stomach that. :o/
Oh no you saw dead bodies :( that's so sad and super creepy!
